Robert de Juilly succeeded Raymond Berenger as Master of the Hospitallers.

Life and service to the Order

His short tenure on Rhodes ended in the 1370s, when Jean Fernandez de Heredia took over the Order's leadership.

Rhodes provided the Order with a new island headquarters after its departure from the Holy Land. Its masters balanced hospitaller service, maritime defence and the government of a fortified Mediterranean state.
